Dhruv Sachdeva & Clifford Alphonso at TEDxDelhi Dhruv Sachdeva is the Founder & Managing Partner of the recently started entertainment enterprise by the name of Humour Me. He has been in the entertainment space for the past 10 years. Before starting his own venture, Dhruv was the Marketing & Programming Manager for The Comedy Store in Mumbai. He started his acting career with the role of 'Scar' in the musical 'Circle of Life'- adaptation of the Broadway musical 'The Lion King'. With the popularity gained by his pilot role, he went onto act in many more productions, some of which were -- 'Is Everyone There Yet?' a Crazy Spotlight Production in 2007,'Pardeh Ke Peeche Kya hai' in 2008; 'Fasten your Seatbelt' -- an adaptation of the Broadway musical; 'Boeing Boeing' in 2009. After the successful beginning of his acting career, Dhruv took on the role of Director, Producer and actor in the popular 'Mac-Who?'which went onto win the Old World Theatre festival and Theatre Festival -- IIT Delhi & Kanpur. He also produced a production by the name of 'Melange' that went onto win the prestigious THESPO FESTIVAL (Prithvi Mumbai).
For a short period, he also assisted the casting department at DHARMA PRODUCTIONS on 2 feature films and an independent casting director on a French television series.
Dhruv, is also a Partner, Musician and Vocalist -- Phi Entertainment & Productions for the band PHI DEGREES. The band has performed at many venues in India, one of which is the famously known SUN BURN FESTIVAL, in Goa 2010. One major international hot spot was the Rio de Janeiro Festival.
In December of last year, Dhruv produced & acted in the production 'The Character of a Happy Life' (Dec, 2011) under the Humour Me banner, the production was very well received by various audiences.
Most recently Dhruv, wrote, directed and also acted in the original musical production -- Dinner For Pricks produced by Humour Me.
Clifford walked into the realm of performance arts 8 years ago in the musical production 'Noahs Ark' after which he acted in various other renowned Broadway adaptations like 'Jesus Christ Superstar' 'Fiddler On The Roof ', 'Mama Mia', 'Juliet Must Die' by the YellowBrick Project and 'Hair' by the Neemrana Foundation.
He took center stage in productions such as Mac-who and Mélange the former being a part of the Old World Festival while the latter traveled to Bombay to win the South Asian Theatre Festival Thespo. Clifford has performed in two Operas staged in Delhi 'Mozart The Magic Flute' and 'Cavalleria rusticana' directed by Maurizio Di Mattia and conducted by Vijay Upadhyaya .
An actor, a sketch-artiste, a voice over artist, a musician, Clifford is known to have a knack in diversifying his range of talent as a performer. In July, Clifford assisted in direction & acted along with Dhruv Sachdeva in Dinner For Pricks under the Humour Me banner.
